Germaine De Luca sent in her version of Paul's challenge saying: 'My Medium is oil. My palette was Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow, Burnt Sienna, Alizarin Crimson, Yellow Ochre, Sap Green, Ivory Black, and Titanium White. I began by laying in my darks for most of the ground and trees, then wiped out some mid tones with a cloth. I then mixed a grey for the mountains. After that I decided to lay in the sky. I then worked on the water using both a brush and palette knife. I followed this by adding my light and texture to my greens, and darkened the edges by the water. The last touches were to add texture to blades of grass in the foreground, and add the telephone poll and distant electrical tower for perspective. I always find these challenges enjoyable as they make me focus'
