Germaine de Luca sent in her version of Paul's August challenge saying: 'My medium is oil. My palette consisted of Ultramarine Blue, Ivory Black, Sap Green, Burnt Sienna's, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Yellow, and Titanium White. I began by laying in all the darks and cool colors first. I then put in the road, followed by the sky. I started adding the warm colors of the field and warm highlights for the sunlit areas. After everything was laid in I started texturing, and finished by adding posts for the fence and the white lines in the road. I enjoyed this challenge as I continue to struggle with understanding color theory.'
