Paul Talbot-Greaves Challenge Four - August 2017
Christine Kyles sent in her version of Paul's challenge saying: 'I used watercolour to create a painting of Paul's photograph. I mixed cerulean blue and white to recreate the sky and burnt umber and yellow ochre plus burnt sienna to paint the far hills. The greenery was a mixture of sap green and cadmium yellow. I used paynes grey and white for the road. For the wall of the bridge I mixed cerulean blue and burnt umber and layered it on and with white pen I outlined the stones. For the foreground I washed over with blues, greens and browns to create shadows and varying depths of colours. I outlined the fence posts in white to create a shadow effect.'
