Edmund J Hayes sent in his version of Paul's August challenge saying: 'It is straightforward watercolour with a little resist in the way of oil pastels on the original drawing on Archer’s Aqua Rough 300lb paper. I think I may have overdone the contrast of the tones, but there we are.'
