Hi Stephan I like your painting but where is the photo you based it on is it in pleasure paimter

Stephen Pawlyn sent in his version of the January challenge saying: 'Having studied the picture for several weeks I felt the challenge to be getting the colours right for the snow and rocks .Following a sketch I then tried different colour combinations deciding to paint on a cobalt blue background. In addition I chose burnt sienna, Paynes grey with a touch of permanent rose. I started on s Saturday morning for just over an hour to get the basic colours in. Next morning I added the footsteps in the snow and features in the rocks and made small adjustments over the next days. I felt the blue background gave a cool feel enhanced by the red in the building and rocks.'
