The photograph on which our challenge was based was taken by one of our members of the local market in Helsinki, and was chosen so that each of the 25 postcards which make up the painting had some interesting textures, shapes or colours. Most of the postcards were completed in watercolour, but ink, pastels and coloured pencils were also used on some of them. This was a good chance for the group to work as a ‘team’ to produce the final result.
