Sheila Lawton sent in her version of Fingal's Cave saying: 'This painting was started with oils on a board covered with a mid grey background. The darks and lights of the rocks were put in with light red and ultramarine. White was used to lighten them. The sky was mostly Yellow Ochre and white. the distant land was put in then the sea graduated with greeny blues. On foamy waves white with touches of Yellow Ochre or blue finished the painting.'
