PTG Exercise 6 - Fingal's cave
Ian Stevenson sent in his version of Fingal's Cave saying: 'The exercise was very challenging due to the need to work quickly and very loosely such that the acrylic remained blendable to allow the creation of both hard and soft edged passages through the painting. I used deep turquoise and cerulean blue for the loose under painting as I wanted to allow these colours to ‘peep’ through the painting to add sparkle. The most rewarding passage was the painting of the breaking surf on the rocks painted with brush and finger to add drama and movement'
