Quite frankly this is a very good attempt and is not tight and you have made some interesting marks and textures.

Hi Annette, hope you enjoyed painting your version of this exercise. I did try it again and still struggled, so went on to try something different and did much better.....restoring my confidence a little.

Michael Stones sent in his version pf Paul's exercise saying: 'Help!!! I have found this exercise quite difficult to do, but I'm going to try this again, focussing more on being spontaneous in suggesting shape and texture and not so concerned with too much detail. As a relative beginner at painting, I'm keen for any comments and advice you may be able to offer.'
