John Cowan sent in his version of Paul's exercise saying: 'I have painted this scene with Acrylics (system 3) onto a 12"x 8" board, I underpainted the sky area with ceruleum and the field area with a mix of Cadmium yellow and hookers green. Once I completed the Acrylic painting I tried out oil pastels (new to me) to highlight the near field and added some red poppies.'
