David Collins sent in his version of Paul's fourth exercise saying: 'Colours used - cerulean and ultramarine blue, cadmium and lemon yellow, yellow ochre , cadmium red and white. I first painted over all the board with a mix of greens. I started with a mix of cerulean blue and white for the sky. Blocked in the wall with a grey mix of cerulean, cad red and yellow ochre plus white. Trees next cad yellow and ultramarine plus cad red to darken the mix in the lower part of the tree line. I used lemon yellow with white and a touch of blue for the sunlight grass and added more blue with a touch of red for the shaded area. Finally I added detail and texture to the stone wall. I missed out the broken gate and left a gap in the wall instead. Congrats to Paul on a great set of articles.'
