Sylvie Maney sent in her version of Paul's exercise saying: 'I used MDF board, 30X20cm, sized and applied gesso. Liquitex heavy body acrylics, Inandethrene blue, Raw sienna, Pthalo blue, Magenta, Titanium white, Hansa yellow, Ultramarine blue, Cadmium red deep and Light blue permanent. A thin layer of Magenta was applied and allowed to dry. The sky was blended using Winsor and Newton flow improver. I also used this medium to lay down the blocks of colours in the moorland below. This allowed for some wispy strokes to emerge as grasses. Other layers were applied before spattering with thinned down paint and a little highlighting with the side of a palette knife.'
