PTG Exercise 3 - Moorland View
Annette Scholefield sent in her version of Moorland View saying: 'It was challenging to paint on a smaller scale, as I wanted to experiment with a new style. To start I used acrylic paper and covered parts with gesso to add texture and then added a wash on top. I used a limited palette of acrylics, phthalo blue, lemon yellow, naphthol crimson and payne's grey. When the paint was drying, I rubbed some of the colours off to reveal the wash underneath. For the sky, I used a wash instead of a thick covering of paint, which I like as it defines land from the sky more'
