John Elliott sent in his version of Paul's challenge saying: 'I have tried to follow Paul's tutorial using blurring with water mist spray for the background and wet in wet at the connections between sky / background / mid ground and foreground. The trees on the right are not well defined in the photo hence the shrub like appearance of mine. In doing the river and retained some of the paper in the foreground and added more white by scraping out after applying the darks. The red ball floating on the river was added to try to retain the eye from following the river off the painting. I have really enjoyed these challenges and will have a go at the sixth challenge next week'
