Denise I think it’s a stunning piece of work, it’s crafted beautifully.

Denise, you’ve been beheaded! Hopefully not, this is special. Love those colours.

Really like how you have done this.

That looks very good to me!!

Interesting to see something different Denise.

It’s great. You said you enjoyed doing it…the best reason of all.

Great idea and a great result Denise, I really like the colours.

Love your inventiveness here Denise. Such an elegant portrait with a difference. You should be very proud of this.

It is beautiful . Like the way you have glazed it!

So well done Denise, a stunning use of these two colours. A unique take on your portrait.

Many thanks Paul, Tessa, Stephen, John, David, Marjorie, Lewis, Russell, Carole, Romila and Carole.

It's always at the very least interesting, and at best both interesting and enjoyable, to use really top quality oil paint - it takes so much of the unrewarding labour out of it. Your combination has worked well here, and that's an unusual approach to a self-portrait - I like everything about it: green and red, like ultramarine and burnt sienna, is a classic combination.

Excellent work. The idea is an inspired one and I think the colours are perfect.

Really well done and very sculptural so it's met your objective (the colours work really well)

Love this Denise - the black background really helps to make it stand out.

This is different, Denise - like the composition and colours, especially on the hair.

Your kind words are much appreciated Robert, Andrew, Heather, Shaun and Jenny.

Original idea Denise, like it very much.

Those colours really add something to it Denise. Very nicely done.

It's great Denise and glad you enjoed using your almost unpronouncable paint colours!

You may remember this. I tried painting myself to resemble a cast. I could never get it looking right. Anyway I wanted to try out my new Michael Harding Phthalocyanine Green Lake. So I had a mess around with it along with Pyrrole Red. It might not have improved it much but I really did enjoy myself. Oil.
