Really like this Denise, especially the 5mph signs. How do you find pastels. I recently ordered some oil pastels which arrived today.

I love the way you have emphasised the structure of the building. The shadows have worked really well. What is the name of the building?

Thanks for your comments Carrie, Spencer and Christine. Carrie, I use soft pastels and I really love using them. I use them as much as I use oils and watercolour. Spencer, I've tried to look up the name of the building, It doesn't have a name outside the building. I always intend to ask when I pass but it's catching someone there. I do intend finding out the history of the building though, next time I go.

Certainly a unique design for this building that you have captured so well. Very intriguing.

That has worked brilliantly Denise .

Excellent work Denise your lovely drawing looks so good with colours.m

A very interesting one Denise.

Really good composition Denise.

A very good sketch Denise.

A super building, it’s intriguing Denise…..you’ve done a great job.

A very intriguing building, Denise - looks like it could be an old church, with the big cross in the middle? Very good sketch...

This has worked out really well Denise and I like how you’ve left a big area in front of this unusual building.

Your comments are much appreciated Chris, Sylvia, Paul, Marjorie, Linda, Diane, Fiona, Jan, Tessa and Russell.

Agree with you Denise - it is architecturally most pleasing - the same as your great painting!

How interesting Denise, like it!

Yet another interesting representation Denise, really creative stuff!

Thanks very much David, Heather and Alan.

I thought this would work when I saw your sketch for it, but to be honest I didn't expect it to work THIS well: that'll teach me. You've turned an architectural curiosity into an industrial cathedral.

Thanks for your comments Robert, I liked what Bari did with the photo of the building from a different angle, on the sketching forum.

A very good sketch Denise. It is rather a grand building.

I live in a city with many grand buildings, this building isn't grand and nobody looks at it but I like it just as much as all the grand architecture in the city. This is a sketch and I decided to add a bit of pastel.
