I agree with you David, nice painting 🎨

Smashing David, love the dramatic use of colour

A wonderful painting David - remember that view and the very wide road it was situated in! I believe the road was originally designed so an ox wagon could make a full turn in the road.

Thank everybody for the comments, I tried something a little different this timeā€¦ Bulawayo was a beautiful City Stephen, everybody friendly black & white. To the outside world thanks to the news media it was a country troubled by racial tension. Look at what's happening in the world now, the media would have you believe every country suffers from racial tension. Never believe the news media. David, the statue is no longer in the spot. It's a great pity that the great man who founded Rhodesia does not get the respect he deserves. It was Rhodes that insisted that the street be wide enough that a team of six Oxen could turn round on the street. You may have guessed, I am not in favour of the puppet government in power. Nor am I in favour of the country's name, fancy calling it after a bird that is not or ever was real?

Water Soluble oil on canvas. I spent many happy years of my youth growing up in Bulawayo, Rhodesia. The statue of Rhodes has been moved, replaced by hotels and starvation. The hearts have been ripped out of the people and city since (so called) independence.
