Very impressive painting. The detail is amazing and the lightness of touch you have with the oils. The other paintings you have posted today are all equally attractive and very well painted. The one of the pier is an usual study, but it works very well indeed. However, could I just make one small suggestion. In future would it possible for you to consider posting one painting at a time, as to post more than one or two takes up the whole front page of the gallery with the result that it knocks all the other paintings off this page. I can see you have posted six today and it has resulted in several people's work only staying on the gallery for a very short time and they will not have the exposure to receive the advice and comments that we all value. Just a suggestion - hope you don't mind me mentioning it.

I agree with Thea; you are obviously new to the site so please don't take offence. When you yourself want comments and someone else posts a lot of pictures and pushes yours off, you will be quite irritated. We try to post no more than two at a time each day to give people chance to get comments. I have to say I love your gallery. You have real skill. The detail in this is wonderful but in no way detracts from the liner and the painting of Whitby Pier is such an unusual angle which works really well.

Very skillfully painted and so detailed, well done.

Wow! The detail in this is amazing, and you've got the sunlight on the boat and houses on the right beautifully. Well done!

Sorry about the muli- posting, I didn't realise the site was limited, won't do it again

This is so well painted, at first glance I thought it was a photo. Lovely details.
