Thank you for your enthusiastic comments. I can't take the credit for inventing this technique. It was first used by Joseph Crawhall, one of the Glasgow Boys, way back in Edwardian times. Crawhall's images are well worth Googling. Although some of his subject matter is unpopular now, some of his animal studies using this technique are exquisite .<br />
