That is quite a gallery. I like it.

I've come to expect excellent work from you Diana, but this it exceptional. I just know the slightest breeze will turn those pages. I find myself wondering what those well worn books are about and who's studying them. Really, quite superb work.

This is a fabulous piece of work. I love the subject and it's so well done.

Someone very studious sits here Diana, is it you? Great use of prismacolour, a complicated and cleverly done coloured drawing.

Wow what lovely comments, thank you so much. Not complicated Carole but the first time I've used Prismacolour so quite a learning curve. as well as using CP on pastelmat for the first time..

Those books are so well drawn Diana. As Carole has said, it's actually very complicated and clever as well as leaving us all wondering about the reader of the books. Excellent work and so different!

This is a gem Diana! Incredibly well drawn and a fascinating composition.

Absolutely wonderful Diana! How original and mysterious.

Agree with everyone, it's eye-catching.

Hi Diana, love the composition and execution, never used Prismacolor, only Derwent at the moment, are they much different. Won't be surprised to see this picture in the forthcoming UKCPS exhibitions. Just love it.

Gorgeous coloured pencil work Diane, lovely details and details, a joy to see your work

Thank you Peter; I usually use Derwent Studio as I like the hardness. This is my first try with Prismacolour as I got one of the huge boxes for Christmas.

What?? I come back for another look, and find you got a box of Prismacolour for Christmas, and produced this quality of work in what, 4 days?? Staggering! The real attraction is how we weave stories around what we see. What are the books, where is this library, who is studying so hard, and why. That, to me, is a mark of excellent art. We don't simply look, we think about it.

Love the subject, great perspective.

A superb piece of work Diana, I'm soooo jealous :):)

Yes, superb! As the others say, you can make up a whole story around this. Happy New Year.

Super work, Diana, with great composition and atmosphere. Happy New Year!
