Thank you for all the great comments Stephen, David, Margaret, Thalia, Anne and Frank. This was a challenge as the reference photo I had was old, faded and didn't include the roof or garden. I found photos of properties in the same street on an estate agent's website and another photo from Louise showed the garden. I had to get it as accurate as I could as it was when Louise lived there 30 years ago or so. It was like a jigsaw puzzle. I also had to check which direction the house faced so I could capture the early morning sunshine as the photo I had was on a cloudy day. When I gave the painting to Louise she cried - I thought because it was no good! Apparently it was just because it was exactly as she remembered it from when she was growing up.

What a wonderful story. The detail in the foliage and architecture is phenomenal.
