This is excellent Helen and beautifully painted.

Amazing observation!

Brilliant. How you’ve integrated the light into the ironworks is amazing.

A super piece of work with its intricate ironwork so well portrayed.

Wow, you must have so much patience, beautiful effects

Excellent painting, Helen. The shadows really bring out the intricacy of the design.

Excellent painting wonderfully observed.

Excellent painting, great idea - I took a photograph of a similar set of railings on Penarth pier some years ago but representing it as a painting really adds another dimension to the image.

This is brilliant Helen. Did you go boggle eyed whilst doing it?

A lovely piece. The textures, shapes, light and shadow are all beautifully rendered.

Thank you so much everyone. Yes, Martin, I did go boggle-eyed after a bit, but it was one of those paintings where you do a bit, then go away and do something else for a bit, go back to it for a bit, and so on. I deliberately made the position of the railing pattern off-centre, but think that I should have done it a bit more off-centre than it is

So unusual, and cleverly done, Helen.
