This strikes me as being extremely difficult to do - I might well have lost the enthusiasm which is so evident in the painting thanks to the sheer struggle of getting these shapes and marks so clearly crisp. How, I wonder, did you do it?

Hi Robert, after coming up with idea, I made several small sketches then a couple full size then a final tracing onto the canvas and then started. I find that I have the painting finished in my head - it can then become a bit of a chore getting it onto the canvas! Good quality paint brushes help a lot.

I thought this was a collage when I first saw it Neil. It's a beautiful crisp painting, and an unusual and original design.
