Wonderful atmosphere.

OOOOOOOh. Hardy-esque, feels like you might come across a forlorn outcast on their way to the nearest pond!

Slightly mysterious feel to this. Great way you have done the path to lead us into the painting. Good work!

Thanks for kind comments Sylvia

Thanks for your comments Colleen

Thank you for your comment Neil. I have just browsed through your portfolio - I love your skies and the atmospheres you manage to create. Fantastic gallery.

Thank you for commenting on my work, Neil. I see you have some tree-scenes too!!! I like the decay and overgrown aspect of old trees and farms.

Fabulous painting, great gallery. Thank you for the tip about using a nib pen Any more tips will be greatly received. Your paintings are inspirational.

Thanks Stephen. One way to create a busy grassy foreground is to paint a Pale wash green or raw sienna, dry off then Dip pen some masking fluid for a few grasses, dry off, then add a slightly stronger wash, dry off and repeat the masking for more grasses, repeat the above until you have reached a darker colour. When dry remove the masking and check the different colour grasses (make sure prior to this that you have enough darks to allow grasses to show)
