Seriously good portraiture, Neil. Charcoal is a wonderful medium isn’t it? I wonder how you achieved the grainy texture. Perhaps you sprayed it with fixative?

Captured so well, the apprehension and clinging to some regret or mishap, yet pondering in a moment while listening to the caller. The charcoal rendering is marvelous Neil, and all the various tones and shades compose this feature so well, with hand gesture holding the receiver , where the light reflects, fantastic!
