Generations, 1st panel by Neal McDannel

Superb pastel - the eyes/specs and skin around the eyes are really well done and the pose is spot on. I like the "warmth" in the painting but possibly the red background is a bit too vivid and detracts a bit from the portrait as I kept looking at that instead of face. Overall, it's a great portrait.

I think this is superb, I almost feel I know your father his personality has a sense of coming right from the drawing. Beautifully done.

Great work again Neal, lovely warm skin tone and love the greeney blue tint to the beard and hair which is picked up in the top he is wearing and reflected by the bluey purple background
