Very nice painting, Nancy, and interesting perspective.

A fascinating painting Nancy

I love the dark passages in this Nancy, this choice of palette is so different from your usual but still a success.

Out back of my studio, a large old vine covered maple tree...the sunlight was filtering thru the other trees on it this afternoon. Painted plein air. Used a limited palette of three colors, colors I do not (usually) use. Tried transparent red oxide (had to dust it off), hansa yellow, and indigo. Indigo is not my favorite blue, too dark and somber, but it made some interesting other colors in the mix. Tried some scraping with credit cards, and a little saran. Will try this experiment again, different colors next time.
