Thanks Jenny, it was fun to try out the knives, they do give more texture (to my inexperience with acrylics, over brushes)

Love this Nancy and yes the knife has given this Painting a fresh and immediate feel, which I like

Use of palette knives gives great texture and you have used it to produce a lovely painting.

Thanks Carole, Dennis and Barry. Appreciate your comments about texture. ( I am encouraged to paint with knives more.!)

Beautiful, the colours really sing.

Painted in acrylics, mainly with palette knives. 16 x 20 on canvas. Painted same time as the singing wren, the two hang together. I love chickadees, often think of them as my muse. They bring me joy and a smile. (Although this guy is a bit of a "godzilla" chickadee in this painting! so big. they do have fat little tummys)
