The mood, the depth, took a little getting used to but all the better for that. The spade is a great touch, as is the boat hidden in the murk. Unlike Brian I am not so sure about the ball in the middle distance, perhaps it is its position - the small stump, the ball, the edge of the boat are all just to the right of the strong line from the paving slab.
