Lovely portrait

Super painting with lovely texture and a really nice pose. This is a really good portrait; I bet he is a lovely dog.

Thank you very much for the comments ladies ,it is my sister in law and mother in laws dog Josh ,and this was thier xmas presant ,Iwould of liked to have got more of the hair effect on more of the head ,but had allready overloaded the pastel and the paper wouldnt take any more layers,.....still learning.

This is a charming portrait of Josh. I think you have done a great job on the coat and I love the tilt of his head and his expression.

Thank you Thea,hes such a soppy dog, I got lucky when I took the photos of him,little monkey never sits still for long when you point the camera at him,Iwas sitting on the floor hence the nice angle of him,and of coarse a treat held up helped as well. We budding artists need all the help we can get ,lol regards, Karen.
