You've certainly caught the softness of the fur in this, a lovely pastel.

Thank you Val,I am very pleased with it.This one is going on the wall.

Pity it's not my wall! A vibrant pastel painting, capturing the dog's character - many congratulations.

Oh Robert that is so sweet thank you,but it is still going on ''my'' wall, lol. regards' Karen.

Beautiful shiny coat. Great portrait.

Many thanks Carol, all I have to do now is manage this on one of my own pics without the help of Miss Walters!!!!,easier said than done, but its fun trying.

Wow ! I love this picture. I use Pastel pencils and am wondering what this picture would look like usint them. Is there any chance of having a copy of the photo. Cheeky i know.

So softly and sensitively painted. Lovely portrait of a lovely dog.

David, sorry hun,but I do not have the photo, and I dont want ''my version'' of the picture copyied, however just google Vivien walters and see what she sais. As mentioned above this is a copy of her original and therefore her copyright, which is why I have credited the original to her. Thank you for the nice comment though,a wow is a very feel good response!,and I hope you get a good picture of a collie to try your' pastel pencils with.Iwould love to see it when finished :-) . Kind regards,Karen.

This is a copy of a Vivien Walters original collie dog, that I did with her E.Mail tuition .I feel I have achieved more depth with this picture, and am very pleased with the results. It was drawn using soft pastel sticks that I have never used before on velour paper.
