I think this is a lovely picture. I would love to give you critical feedback but I am not experienced enough for that. It looks lovely to me and well done for your first attempt at acrylics.

My word, Karen, if this is your first attempt with acrylics I can't wait to see what you're producing this time next year! I'm not an expert by any means but I think you've achieved the fine lines remarkably well and I love the gentle reflections in the water. Great!

Thank you for the comments . I am having a go at differant mediums ,as I cant seem to discover ''me'' , if that makes any sense, I tried water colouur and it has been a nightmare so far, pastel seems to be what suits me best, but I quite like the feel of acrylic as it is feels like a cross between water colour and oil to me,the best of both worlds. I will definately try some more acrylic when this one is finished,

My first attempt at acrylic painting,this is from one of brenda harrisons step by step books,may have started of a little bit adventurous ,I found it really difficult to get any fine lines for the bird on the rough canvas ,,even though I have used proper miniature painters brushes , the painting is still in progress, all feed back gratefully recieved.
