Thanks everyone for your nice comments - only the second time that I have used gouache - I love it's 'juicyness', but I did have to re-paint the bottom half of the vase after thinking that I could add a glaze over it, then found out that it doesn't work with gouache, it just removes everything that you had done before!

Still life painted with gouache in the style of Peter Graham - painted a week after the acrylic painting using a coffee percolator in place of the teapot. A member of the club asked "How did you paint the silver colour?" which I thought was funny, as I didn't paint a silver colour, I just painted the shapes and colours that I could see reflected - then it just appeared!
