Dawn on the River by Michael Harrison

I'm willing to bet that quite a few won't like this .... but I very much do; it leaves me to do a lot of the work, to imagine and enter into the atmosphere without having to be told every damn' thing about the landscape. And this is what rivers look like, or often look like, at dawn. The colour in the sky is fantastic.

Many thanks as always for your comments Robert, I have been away from the On-Line Gallery for a little while now. The end of last year saw some major progress,Following a One-Man Show and a much greater than expected level of sales in July. I then was fortunate to win Northamptonshire Open Studios main show prize in October which was another One-Man Show this Spring. then in November I succeeded in getting a work accepted at New English Art Club Open show at the Mall Galleries and the picture sold at the PV which was very gratifying. so all in all a great year. My new show starts on 31st March for nearly a month and I have ben very fortunate to sell a number of works out of the studio prior to the event (one of which was the Dawn River view. so all in all I have been extremely fortunate. again thanks for your generous comments, it is those comments which give one the confidence togo through all the rigarole of exhibiting ! with best wishes Michael

Glad I came back for another look = many congratulations on your excellent news; well deserved, and it's good to know that the picture for artists (er, as it were) isn't uniformly bleak - as it sometimes seems. Best of luck with your show starting on March 31st - keep us informed.
