Yes, I was and did 3 oil sketches over about 2 hours alternating between them . I always find a tendency to get impulsive and started 'dabbing' when I reach a 'breakthrough point' so now I restrain the urge by starting anew with another angle. It seems to pay off and makes sure that I keep the looking /painting ratio at 5/1 . thxs

Lovely pastelly colours, very delicate for oils. Like your choice of long landscape sized panel too. Suits the subject. Jx
