Wonderful painting and colour Michael

Lovely painting Michael, as for tight it looks fine to me and that's all that matters.

Looks inviting. I like how you paint the windows Michael and your perspective is always spot on.

Looks a lovely quiet village Michael, beautifully painted also, the figures are an important addition. I could just murder a pint!

Not an easy subject but you have put your stamp on it Michael.

If I was the gallery's curator I'd be happy to get it anyway.

Love the flash of white paper seperating the hedge from the wall Michael. Smashing watercolour.

Thanks everyone for all your kind comments.

I like the look of that pub - do they do good lunches, lol! A super fresh and beautifully transparent watercolour. Lovely work, Michael.

A lovely scene, portrayed with charm. Lovely work, Michael.

At one time, the Queens Head used to be a brilliant venue for Sunday lunches. After new management brought in Indian food, it went downhill pretty fast. Another gem in your village series Michael.<br />PS: is that a white swan I see in the sky?

Yes it could be a swan - bit of a fat one though!

The trouble is, pretty as the village is, there are not that many compositionally attractive viewpoints - so it was the pub again. Not so fond of this one - it looks a bit 'tight' . Having said all that I do have a great photo of the village noticeboard which will make a great subject but not sure that that's what the gallery is looking for....?
