I've been away on 'granny duty' for a few days so haven't had much time to look at the gallery! Logged on just now and the first thing to catch my eye is this delightful little cottage with it's jaunty line of washing! Congratulations on a successful exhibition - how satisfying!

A charming little cottage Michael and the washing line is ever so cute. Well done with the exhibition!!

I love all these Michael and it's no surprise that they're proving popular. The slightly bent washing line/posts/old nails are just perfect. Can I just say though, I prefer the clean lines of the background you used to use. This 'white chair' background you've used for the latest ones doesn't display the sculptures quite so well. My thoughts anyway!

A good breeze on wash day I see here Michael! Scarecrow weekends are fun! I'm sure that you had a great time! Did you make one yourself? Glad that the show was a great success for you.

Thanks for comments - Louise I think on reflection you may be right about the background - can't alter the ones already phot'd as they have mostly gone on their journeys but when I do the next batch I'll revert to solid background.

I think I'm right as well! The whole image with the solid two tone background was a lot smarter. The soft white background here doesn't enhance the sculpture which doesn't look as solid or classy as the others do when photographed with the clean lines of the other background. This one is almost floating. Glad that you agree as good presentation is so important I feel. They are 'worth it'!!

Lots of fun. Glad your work is popular - well deserved.

Simply delightful Michael. Congratulations on a successful exhibition!

Love this, and all your other delightful constructions.

Good weekend - our village held it's annual Scarecrow Weekend attracting approx 8000 visitors to the event - no idea how they calculated this but it was really quite manic. We had an Art exhibition in the village hall and I was fortunate to sell 3 of my coastal bits as well as several paintings - wish it was always that easy!!
