It's lovely Michael, great to read how you did it this time round as well

Great drawing Michael, you are good at these village scenes.

I haven't seen version 1 yet but i like this one. Lovely colours and a great composition.

Works well Michael, not as polished as version one but has a fresh feel to it.

I thought it was you Michael. nice work as always .. its a pleasure to see your paintings .. keep them coming

Mark two has a completely different feel to it Michael, very free and open....like it. Are you familiar with Andrew Hucklesby's work, his landscapes often remind me of yours.

Fiona is right, this has got a different feeling but I like them both Michael.

Thanks all for your comments - much appreciated - and not a snail in sight!

It's lovely, Michael. Agree with Fiona - different feel, but I like it too. A lot.

I do like Version 2 and especially like the monument in the foreground which is very well depicted - lovely colours and texture in it.

Yes I did post a version of this a few days ago but following this I was caught on the hop for a quick demonstration and thought this would be ideal as I was already familiar with it. It was sketched out in charcoal first plus a bit of pen work and then washes added in quick succession. It took about 35/40 minutes and was well received. Not so different from the first version which took about 2.5 hours. Thought it might be worth posting - anyway it was good fun. Hope you like version 2.
