By the way it's Millers Bridge on the canal just outside Loughborough - I love doing these quick sketches although this took a little longer than most

OK Michael, so I'll say it again, you are the master of these sketches and this one is beautiful too! Somehow I missed the deleted one when you posted it earlier...at least I think I did...or was that another slip of the memory (hope not!).

I missed it too, unless I was having a day off. Love graphite so would like to see more.

Hi Michael, Nice one, I wonder how long it took, also will you compose a painting? or could it be washed to give a really loose picture !!. or is it not strong enough for a line and wash type picture ??. look forward to more from you and will try to look on-site every few days. Best regards Chris

Lovely drawing with spot on perspective which is not easy with bridges. I like the detail in the centre of the composition and the way you have let it fade out at the edges - in fact a vignette.

Great sketch Michael, the tonal work is gorgeous. It would look good as a monochrome, not easy though.
