Thanks all - it was done on textured mount board and some of the texturing is apparent (the horizontal lines - bottom right) .

Really like this one Michael, great colours and textures. (Out of interest, how long do these take you to do, are they done in several stages?)

Thanks Cesare. Gudren, Helen and Jenny. As for the process they can take quite a while - this is not so much from the actual painting process but from the drying time as I flood (and I do mean flood) the board with fine spray during the process. As you will guess they are usually done in two or three stages as I build up the colour. In this one much of the light background was done in the first stage. The main 'design' being the central 'granulated' design was done at the end stage.

Michael, would one of these be suitable as a WIP on the forum? It would be interesting to see how they come together.
