Sunny day near blue bell wood herringthorpe
This beautiful wood is where i used to walk with my grandad. My sadness is that he didnt live to see any of my paintings. I was a late starter and merely drew when i was a younger man, usually copies after the renaissance masters. It was only when id finished this picture that i saw what seemed like a young man seated on the right with his head in his hand. He reminds me of myself as i sit in this manner alot of the time. As i am in the painting though i am lookind towards the earth, but then, to me, sky and earth are one.
