I'd buy your darker pictures, snag is I haven't the room for them - I hope this one sells, it's certainly striking and cheering; not so sure that time of year doesn't influence picture buyers; your other paintings aren't actually so much dark, as restrained; and maybe in winter people want something 'cheerful' - and then again, maybe the money isn't about and this has nothing at all to do with it. We never really know why we aren't selling, and think of all sorts of ways to rationalize it. Just keep going!

Thankyou robert i'll keep this in mind. Im lucky to have sold what i have. I spoke to an artist in a gallery once who hadnt sold in several years.

30x24" canvas in oils. My pictures are not selling at the moment and i think the drab colouring of much of my recent work maybe a factor. At the risk of being garish i invested alot of colour into this new painting. I gave it a title that i would usually use for a musical work.
