it has been often noticed that my work is rather turnerish but i hope i am successful in escaping any degree of immitation. i hope there is enough individualism in my paintings. on the other hand turner is not the easiest of artists to emulate. it might be something about his excessive englishness which invades my work so much. in any case i enjoy being inspired by him and though i do experiment with new ideas my greatest joy is to paint these misty colourful scenes so reminiscent of his example.
