Really good - for all sorts of technical reasons (you haven't put that little spot of white in both eyes to indicate life and interest - good, it wasn't needed; the paint is thick where it needs to be; aged flesh is depicted by the shape of your brush-strokes and the accurate placing of highlights) but all technique is pointless unless the picture speaks to you, and this just does: it's as if the head has been sculpted in paint.

Thankyou for all your kind comments. I like your assessment Robert and thankyou for it. I'm ignorant of so much art theory sadly so it's nice that your assessment was so favourable. I don't think in terms of what should go where I just usually put strokes where it feels right.
