Lovely delicate work, Mia. (Maybe the addition of a leaf to finish it off?)

Simple and effective Mia.

Very effective drawing. It takes a degree of courage to start immediately in ink.

Good one Mia!

Beautiful pen drawing Mia as always.

So chic Mia, lovely ink work.

Thank you all very, very much for your encouraging comments :)

Very delicate Mia! Both the flower and the drawing.

May I just endorse William's comment below - it is indeed brave to put the pencils aside and start with the ink - and as always, you have succeeded in producing a delicate yet strong and accurate drawing.

Thanks Sarah and Robert. Yes, Robert and William, it is always a challenge to put the pen on the white sheet of paper, to decide where to put the first line because I think the position of the subject is very important (positive and negative space!)

Simple but it's all there Mia. Poppies are such attractive flowers to draw and paint.

Thank you so very much, Avril.

Ink drawing using my ArtPen filled with Quin Ink. I started immediately in ink, no pencil pre-sketch first. Size A4. All comments are welcome :) Mia
