I am sure I have painted this house/barn a long time ago when I was beginning to paint. It looks very familiar. Love your drawing of it (a lot better than my attempt in the past!). The sepia tones works very well as they are soft and gentle, suiting the scene.

Lovely sketch, Mia. Your Stabilo Point 88 has helped to produce a very nice piece of artwork.

Lovely sketch Mia. It deserves some colour washes. I. like colour and tou have one in good fresh colour already. Syd.

Lovely sepia drawing. It reminds me of when you painted with coffee ....

Thank you all so very much. Thea, I usually paint from my own pictures but I also saved a large collection of photo's from the Internet on my iPad. This is one of those and I don't know where it is. I think a mill somewhere in the UK. Roger, those markers are very interesting to work with. Pitty they are not lightfast. Syd, I might try to do a coloured version next week. Yes Gudrun, it is about the same colour as the coffee washes.

Lovely result with sepia Mia! It makes the drawing look so different and interesting, like an old photograph really.

Thank you very much Satu. I appreciate.

Lovely drawing Mia, really like the sepia effect

You've achieved a really good effect with this medium Mia.

An idyllic spot, and a sensitive drawing of it. Beautifully captured.

Thanks Robert, Frank and Lesley for your positive comments.

Thank you Michael. I am planning to make a coloured version of this sketch. Syd sort of challenged me!

A gorgeous piece, Mia - you convey the varied textures so effectively, and there's a lovely atmosphere that shines through as well.

Thanks Seok. Your comments are always highly appreciated.

Just love all your sketches Mia, had trouble finding this one, so many postings since I was last on POL.

Thank you Karyl for your kind comment.

Thank you very much, Petra.

Again a pen and wash. Here I used the brown Stabilo Point 88 and with a waterbrush, I gave it a rather wet wash. After drying I added some details with the marker. Thanks for having a look.
