This is fabulous Mia, such a great painting, well done.

Nice flower well done, Mia.

Thank you for the compliment Mia :). This is beautiful I love the fine detail and the green off the cactus is so rich. I cannot see any buds appearing on mine as yet so here's hoping.

You have such talent Mia. A lovely flower, very delicate.

I think this is a simple, beauty, Mia. Love your colours and the light pen work.

Thank you all so very much for your positive comments. I am glad you like it. I hope the second flower will open before the first one fades.

It's amazing Mia, so beautiful and delicate.

Thank you Satu, I appreciate.

Excellent, delicate and it captures that strange contradiction of spikes and flowers.

Many thanks Tao and Gudrun, for your positive comments.

Oh Mia, it is so beautiful....It seems to be saying "Here I come!" I think cactus flowers are really something special in their beauty.

Yes, they are so special, Ruth. I am looking forward to the second one. It is probably going to open tomorrow. Thank you very much for your lovely comment.

Last year Carole posted a cactus with flower. I commented on her painting that I also had a flowering cactus, similar to hers. But I didn't make a painting of it. This morning, my cactus gave birth (lol) to a beautiful pink flower. I immediately took my painting things and made this pen and watercolour. What do you think? The next flower is expected to open in a few days. Al comments very welcome. Thanks :) Mia.
