Mia, I love the delicacy of all of your work I think you have more patience than I do. Thank you for your kind comment. Sylvia.

Wonderful pen work and delicate washes. Gorgeous Mia!

There is something calming about this, Mia - its simplicity and clean lines, maybe? Beautiful. I can imagine it in a simple frame and perhaps in a series of 3?

I do like Rembrandt watercolours - they make great washes, as here. Almost an oriental touch to this one, and I certainly agree with Carolilne about framing it in a series. This may be one of your non-lightfast ink drawings - but there are pigmented inks, and of course traditional pen and ink.... well, you know that as well as I do.. Point is, it would be good to see these drawings framed!

Very well done Mia.Lovely as usual.

Good example of 'less is more' well done.

Beautiful composition great drawing Mia.

This is a truly excellent and beautiful piece Mia! I love the composition, and the tonal work is really superb!

Just perfect Mia - can't say more!!

Beautiful work Mia.

Lovely work Mia, as always!

I have just enjoyed looking through your gallery. I love the pen and wash style. You make it seem simple, but when I try it the lines look too heavy. That is your talent and it is beautiful.

Wow, so many lovely, positive comments. Thanks to you all for taking the time to have a look and posting a comment. Caroline, I have to think about your suggestion of a series of 3. It is difficult to find something else in the same style to make a series. Robert, this one is made with a waterproof marker and the Rembrandt wash also is lightfast. It is the "tree-sketch" that I made with watersoluble, non-lightfast ink. So, I think I would have a problem there.

Absolutely deligthful Mia!

Thank you very much Satu and William for your positive comments.

Very beautiful, so delicate.

Thanks Petra, Heather and Kirstie. Your comments are highly appreciated.

Restrained and harmonious painting. Describes the tree perfectly. Super work.

Thank you Thea for this positive comment. You are all so kind to me: taking the time to have a look at my gallery and posting a comment. I think I have more "friends" on POL than I have in real life. I consider you ALL as my friends, especially because we have the same interests! x Mia.

A pen and wash of a tree on a hill-side in Austria (Tirol). I did draw it off centre to accentuate the fact that it was on the outer edge of the path, almost falling down the hill-side. I made the drawing with a o,3 marker and the wash using Neutral Tint by Rembrandt. All comments very, very welcome.
