Lovely painting. I like the reflections in the water.

Thanks Carole. The water reflections in Chinese painting on the very absorbent Xuan paper is done opposite to the way I paint water in Western watercolours on sized paper. In this painting I used a dry brush tip to softly stroke vertically downwards. Then applied an ink wash when dry. This technique makes the water look shimmery.
