Teasels

You have achieved a really lovely painting Maureen. There is so much great texture and lovely colour to draw the eye and hold the interest. Do I detect the use of cling film and salt in this? Whatever you have used, the results are super.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Its the first time I have ever had the courage to post a painting online and your comments have given me more confidence to try agin. You are right, we all had great fun using salt, cling film and loads of 'splatter' to get the texture. Thank you again.

This is a great painting. Love the balance of the composition, colours, contrast and textures. It must have helped being at the workshop, but you still must be very talented to be able to produce work of this caliber, even with instruction. Love to see more.

i tried to paint teasels once, I didnt suceed you have captured thier bristles superbly.
